The challenge
Parents planning a birthday, companies booking an event and hosts looking for close-up entertainment all search for a magician the same way: locally, on their phones, with a short list in mind. Gabe’s Magic Shows needed a site that made his act feel unlike anyone else’s, explained exactly what each show includes and made booking easy.
The solution
We built the site around the idea at the center of Gabe’s act: magic meets technology. A skippable, replayable intro opens the experience, six show types appear as cards that flip on hover or tap, and a browser-based card interactive invites visitors to pick a card with their mind. Dedicated pages cover card tricks, a Houdini trick and a gallery, and every page leads to a booking form that captures the event type, date and city.
SEO strategy
Local pages cover Great Neck, the surrounding North Shore villages and northeast Queens communities within about ten miles, alongside service pages for each show type and a Journal of articles for people planning an event. A link to Gabe’s YouTube channel brings visitors to performance videos, and a 70-URL XML sitemap keeps every page discoverable.
Design strategy
A near-black interface with cyan and green glows, monospace “SYS //” system labels and playing-card suit motifs makes the site feel like a magic trick running on a computer. Starting prices are shown up front, from $150 for close-up magic to $300 for birthday parties and $500 for corporate events, so families and planners can decide quickly.
